Get ahead in the scholarship process if you have a rising junior or senior. We will spend an afternoon helping parents and students understand the confusing world of college scholarships: where to look, what your child qualifies for, and how best to approach the search. A laptop or tablet will be needed and spaces are limited. We will offer two sessions each summer month, with a limit of six families per session. Date and time TBD
Study Skills Brush Up
In separate groupings for high school and middle school students, our Study Skills Brush Up will help even the best of students hone their note taking and research skills while reminding everyone why these skills are necessary for middle school, high school, college and beyond. Topics will include note taking, research papers, creating a working thesis, annotating articles, time management, the importance of a calendar and many more. Days and times TBD, class is limited to six students.
Summer Spanish and Summer French, Ages 2-7
Come join Barbara and Hillary on a journey through the basics of foreign language. Weekly lessons will involve songs, finger play, coloring and the study of basic vocabulary in an interactive atmosphere. One lesson will feature a visit to the farm. Days and times TBD, each class is limited to six students.
August MAth BRush ups
Join our math tutors for a brush up in pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry or pre-calculus. Each course will meet once a week in the month of August to go over the concepts to be introduced in each math level. Students will enter school feeling confident in their abilities and knowing their math packets are completed. Spaces will be limited to six students per course level, we will open multiple sections as needed. Dates and times TBD
Spanish/French Grammar Brush Ups
Join Barbara or Hillary for a brush up on French or Spanish grammar, vocab and usage as you prepare to start the school year. Spots will be limited, and sessions split by levels if needed.
Would you like to be ahead as you enter English next year? Have a greater understanding of the novels you will be reading and feel prepared to participate in class discussions? Or just be better acquainted with a classic novel or play? Come join Hillary and Ellen as we read and discuss the books as a group and then watch the corresponding film for two novels from each high school grade level. Days and times TBD, please let us know if you are interested, and which grade level (9, 10, 11, 12).
